Waterfront

There is something about the sea. It just begs me to return again and again, it's not even an easy proposition given my nearest coastline is at least 100 miles from where I live, yet it's a nag, a necessity like a drug that needs to be taken for the soul.

Waterfront characterises the adventure at the edge of our land, the sea, the giant unpredictable untameable animal that can take you when it wants.  Capturing imagery at the coast can be a contest and I love that. It's a competition of wits, skill, balance, even daring, many words of which my wife will not want to read. Wild one day, flat calm the next, you don't always know what you're going to get. It's all about embracing the uncertainty and living with its chracter, I only wish I were closer...
