Following the devastating floods which took a grip on parts of Cumbria this winter, Mark Littlejohn & Doug Chinnery have established and organised some charity activities designed to help raise some funds and get the much loved county (and home of the Lake District) back onto its feet. I was personally extremely saddened to see classic features like the bridge at Pooley Bridge completely destroyed by the deluge. Thanks to the generosity of many people, impressive sums have already been raised as part of that effort but more is required.
From a personal point of view, I’m participating by offering my services free of charge, along with eight leading landscape photographers, to provide advice and guidance during some photowalks on Sunday 21st February around Ullswater in the Lake District. Following on from this event there will be a print auction at The Inn On The Lake, Glenridding, which tickets are still available for this BY CLICKING HERE.
In addition to the walk, I’ve printed, mounted, signed and framed one of my signature images Born To Fly which will be available to bid on exclusively at the Glenridding print auction event on 21st February. The auction catalogue can be downloaded and viewed BY CLICKING HERE.
Further still, I’ve also provided another image Eye Of The Needles to a special limited print edition of 10 box sets which Fotospeed have kindly printed and prepared. These wonderful tree themed sets include eight printed images and can be bid on until they finish on Saturday 20th February. As you can see from the following link many other wonderful prints are also available – CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE PRINTS AVAILABLE.
Please note that in all cases 100% of the proceeds raised will be sent to the charity.
