Art Of The Landscape - Collection One
After much deliberation I have finally got around to putting together my first compilation of images in a book to complement this website. This first collection contains a mixed set of more than 36 colour and monochromatic scenes taken during 2010 and 2011 across Britain. It's essentially a journey around British coastlines and countryside but also somewhat of a quest in search of the soul of the landscape.
I certainly look on this book with a degree of emotion - there are times when the process of capturing the landscape in these moments was exhausting, extremely time consuming and difficult. The average landscape photographer uses up more than his or her fair share of carbon footprint, travelling hundreds and thousands of miles to merely be in the right place at the right time, when the elements of nature, light and form collide in moments that send your pulse racing. I'm very pleased with the end result, the large landscape edition of the book in particular is just as I hoped, a wonderful record of seconds, minutes and hours spent waiting for the moment...

The printed version of this book (pictured above) is available in a wonderful luxury Large Landscape Format Hardback, with dust jacket or image wrap. The pages are an optimum viewing size at 13x11 inches and can be printed on a beautiful high quality lustre paper so they really show the images off as they are intended to be seen. In my view this really is the only way to view landscape photography in all its glory - you will not be disappointed. You can now also download an electronic only iBook version for viewing on Apple devices including the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, all via the free iBook app. As the book is produced in an epub format, it's also very possible that it can be viewed through other readers on Android devices, but in truth I haven't tested this yet. This really is a great way to view images home or away without the worry of carrying or damaging the high quality printed versions. The specially optimised iBook version is available for download now! Plus One Collection - Charity Book Project
I've been fortunate to get involved in an exciting new charity book project titled The Plus One Collection thanks to my links with Google+. I teamed up with a truly global contingent of artists lead by American photographer Ivan Makarov to create a 'best of 2011' book, with each individual submitting their finest single image from 2011. All of the images were then collated into a pool with the final set for printing being voted on by an independent panel. I'm very pleased that my image A New Religion (further below) was selected for the special print versions of the book.

All profits from the sale of this book will be going to KIVA which is a tremendously worthwhile charity which offers tiny loans to encourage start-up business and enterprise in the poorest regions around the world, giving people a real opportunity to lift themselves out of poverty. The whole concept has snowballed into quite an event with Ivan even being interviewed on television with NBC in the United States. I'd encourage anyone to buy a copy of the book - not only is it a unique collection of photography but it is of course a wonderful way to support a fantastic charity. Secure your copy today!
